DeckLink IP HD Optical beschikt over 3 kanalen voor video-opname en 3 kanalen voor videoweergave naar 2110 IP-uitzendsystemen via een op SFP gebaseerde glasvezelethernetverbinding. Het is ontworpen om te werken met video van de hoogste kwaliteit met ondersteuning voor het vastleggen en afspelen van populaire videoformaten zoals Apple ProRes, DNxHD of zelfs 10-bits ongecomprimeerd.
