Drivers installeren is niet nodig want de INOGENI 4K HDMI naar USB 3.0 converter maakt gebruik van de ingebouwde drivers in Windows, Mac OSX, Linux en Android en biedt dankzij de UVC-compliant functie bovendien ondersteuning voor Directshow compatibele applicaties.

Alle SD en HD signalen worden omgevormd naar een 4:2:2 8 bit of 12 bit signaal over de USB 3.0 aansluiting. 4K signalen worden omgevormd tot een 4:2:0 signaal. De aanwezige audio op het HDMI signaal wordt omgevormd tot een LPCM signaal over de USB 3.0. Een USB 3.0 aansluitkabel wordt bijgeleverd.
