The N2 encodes embedded audio in ACC or G.711 format, and it also supports voice intercom audio. It also features a TF/microSD card slot to record video while you are streaming, or it can be configured to record to a NAS over a LAN. Recording formats include TS, MP4, MKV, AVI, and MOV. It can be controlled and configured using an Android app, via a web GUI, or by using an IMS remote management application. A second USB port also allows you to control the unit via serial control using a separately available USB to serial adapter.

The unit is powered using its internal 6800mAh battery, so you can avoid cabling while it's in use. There are two mounting threads on the bottom and a shoe mount with removable shoe adapter are included to mount onto any standard shoe mount. Two RP-SMA Wi-Fi antennas are included to ensure signal strength, and a power adapter is included to charge the battery.
